Photography for Country villa
Country villa
Set deep within the forests of Gelderland, this contemporary country house is shaped by its surroundings. Designed by Grand&Johnson, the residence unfolds across three volumes, framing distinct views over the forest, river, and floodplains. For this country villa interior photography project, our focus was on capturing the seamless relationship between architecture, interiors, and landscape.
Our brief was to document the architecture and interiors through a collection of photographs that highlight this relationship between house and setting. Smoked ash cladding continues seamlessly from exterior to interior. Expansive glass façades open the home to its surroundings. A carefully composed material palette reinforces a sense of continuity and restraint.
Our imagery focuses on these elements. It reveals how materiality and proportion shape a calm and deliberate atmosphere in this country villa interior photography project.
The resulting series explores how architecture, interior design, and landscape converge within a refined residential setting. Each space offers a distinct perspective. Yet the overall composition remains unified. It is anchored by a consistent sensitivity to place, light, and craft.

“The home’s large windows flood the interior with natural light, connecting every room to the forest beyond. This gave our photography a constant, ever-changing source of light to work with.”
